Fully mature and a fine accompaniment to my chicken, linguica, and rice dish. Nose has earthy sandstone minerality, and dark, mature red berry fruit. Nice acids help keep it lively, though the finish is a little short. Pretty good value at $18.

Red purple color. Red fruit, roses, tobaco and leather. Mushrooms and meat. Well balanced and structured. Long finish.

Opened up on the second day. Very nice zippy acidity. Portuguese wines really deliver for the price.

Apr 12th, 2017Dark berry fruit, tobacco, and... Dry leathery goodness. Nicely balanced so not overly fruity... A great analog to a Ribera del duero Tempranillo.
