2021/4/29-30 with Nanjing saltwater duck, etc. Normally I don’t go for wines with international varieties from places like Chianti (and Panzano no less), but I came across this without knowing what was in it and had been wanting to try something from Montefili. It was pretty good - and the Cabernet Franc (which might be my favorite of the French varieties in Tuscany due to Ampeleia) hit the spot when I wanted something to go with duck. It had the brambly cassis and green tobacco, with some cherry from the Sangiovese. Was best on day 1 - was a little plain on day 2.
