Mégaphone Ventoux Grenache Syrah

A rather minerally Grenache/Syrah blend. Not that complex, but delicious.

The nose reminds me of an expensive CDP; really bright and punchy. Plenty of depth to age a few more years. Really good.

Good balance, light with acid on front with nice finish. Great table wine.

Dark fruit there as expected, but also an earthy, barnyard note (the syrah, I take it). On the palate, nicely acidic, giving it a juicy, zesty, fresh quality. Really nice bottle at this price ($27).

Raspberry, blackberry on the nose. A bit of freshly tilled soil. Damp autumn leaves.

Full body, light spice - maybe white pepper. A touch acidic. Quite smooth overall, almost like a Pinot but with much more body and flavor. Very fresh red overall.
