Viña Cobos
Felino Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon
Mendoza, Cuyo, Argentina
Cabernet Sauvignon
Onion, Shallot, Garlic, Pasta, Venison, Tomato-Based, Potato, Pork, Chocolate & Caramel, White Rice, Mushrooms, Beef, Lamb, Chili & Hot Spicy
Top Notes For
Initial impression was that it was tart, astringent. May need to open up a bit. Fruit is low, subservient to the acids and body. Not the balance I like, but likely good with food. Update: is better with food, particularly savory meat

Mar 22nd, 2018Meh. Not bad, but not my favorite malbec. It's okay with strong foods, did not care for it solo. Strong punch without complexity. When paired with foods that have some spice, it mellows out enough to enjoy some of the more subtle notes.
