Vino z Czech
Cabernet Sauvignon
2009 Vino z Czech Cabernet Moravia - interesting cross between Cabernet Franc and Zweigelt from the Czech Republic. Cool wine. Reminds me of a medium bodied juicy Gamay.

Mar 5th, 2016Weird but dope. Smells like a cab sauv or cab franc. green peppercorn, deep fruit, menthol. Drinks very light to medium. Bright acidity, tart red plum, peppercorns again excellent structure. 12,5%. Very interesting. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to see a totally different side of Cabernet. Correction: the grape is Cabernet Moravia. Offspring of Cabernet Franc and Zweigelt.

Nov 17th, 2015From a little research, it appears this bottle is actually a grape that's a cross between Cabernet Franc and Zweigelt (i know, be still your beating heart). It was perfect with the Slovak food at the Riverside Restaurant in the Chicago suburbs. The wine featured a berry forward nose, with deep earth notes underneath, a balanced tannin to acid structure, and a touch of herbaceousness.
