inStabile N°9, Mea Culpa, Priorat 2018.
Natty Priorat aged in amphoras. A bit of barnyard funk upon opening which blew off after a while and gave way to a delicious, red fruit forward, with a bit of almond, a bit of a savoury thing, and some garrigue too, in the rear. The palate is super juicy, with a dusty, hazy mouthfeel that reminds me of natty beaujolais from Foillard. Some cola notes too. Some width, but first and foremost a good acid drive. Tannins are gentle and discreet, but they add a subtle drying layer of complexity over a long, fruity finish that goes on for a while. That cola note carries on until the very end. Good natural stuff. This screams low intervention and it is not your average Priorat. Not for everyone amd you could argue that it lost a bit of a sense of placd, but I like it.
