I am sure this primitivo is better than this bottle (my cork was failing and there was a hint of effervescence and definitely some taint). But I can't rate this very highly due to green pepper notes dominating after being open for half an hour. Otherwise, pleasant prune and baking spices were initially very enticing.

Nov 17th, 2016Bright Ruby Red in color, Close relstive of Zinfandel this grape. Aromas of white pepper & strawberries. Palate is red fruit and acidity make a lively, vibrant finish. To quote John Corcoran, "this Primitivo knocked my socks off"
