Von Winning
Deidesheimer Paradiesgarten Trocken Riesling

The nose is very citrusy, with lemon, lemon peel, even lemon curd with a tiny creamy thing. The palate shows a massive acid drive, as expected, a big bright lemon note all along, a good width and electric mouthfeel that I love in good examples of dry German rieslings. The finish is long and coats the mouth all over, leaving a tiny bitter note in the end, reminiscent of the lemon peel scents that could be found on the nose. It's very well done and very inviting but not as great and complex as the last von winning dry Riesling I had some time ago, which was Leinhöhle in 2018. Could it be a vintage thing though? 2018 was very hot all over Europe.
