Super young. Vibrant ruby color. Exceptional and between 7 people the half bottle was gone in no time yet the perfect amount after a lights-out dinner

Stupidly good. From half bottle (I personally killed the whole thing) lovely aromas of cinnamon, hoisin, dark cherry, crushed rose petals, dusty earth and all spice. Almost amarone in the nose. Add cigar and butter chocolate on the nose as well. Lost the sweetness and drinks like still wine. I’m about to offer a whole bunch of these if anyone wants in please let me know. Prices will be silly good.

Weekly Wine Committee. 1 sparkler, 3-4 whites, 3-4 reds and 1 dessert wine format. Served blind.

This was really faded and light in appearance. Lot of sediment. I guessed late ‘70s/early ‘80s port. More guessed early ‘70s. It tasted older than it was, actually. Old graham cracker, cocoa dusted dates, licorice and old, candied blackberries. Dusty.

Rich and concentrated. The elegance and delicacy surrounding the powerful flavors and aromatics are astounding. This is a pivotal wine for the category. Deep dark berry core, Graham/molasses, caramel nuances. Fresh as summer preserves.

Black cherries, Italian black plums, dust and anise. Silky sweet on entry, with polished, notes of roasted fig and dark chocolate. Lots of depth here, but plenty of finesse, too. Lengthy, spicy finish.

Ripe & semi-mature VP. Lots to like, including structure being fully integrated. tannin, fruit concentration and spirit nicely balanced.
