Limestone Kabinett Rheinhessen Riesling
Very Mosel-ish. Fresh as a daisy. Impressive.

Jun 17th, 2018Bottle opened for lunch enjoyment earlier today, spent most of the afternoon in the decanter. Really blossoming after about 4H.
Prior notes still apply:
Nose has under-ripe, yellow stone fruits, washed lime, cut yellow apple, dry limestone slab and very minor petrol note.
Palate has sweet yellow apple, lime flesh, firm peach flesh, pineapple core with a sweet and lightly saline finish that is quite long. Very enjoyable, young wine.

I concur with Vinous (DS), likely one of the better or best versions of this bottle I've tasted.
Decanted ~90m. I must address the amount of gas (CO2) in this bottle, just amazing, almost thought this was a sekt when it was going into the decanter, even on on the double decant at 90m there was still some bubbles!

Of course still super young, the Limestone shows lots of primary fruit aromas like tons of white peach mixed with pineapple and Mango. There is still a bit of CO2 in the bottle which gives a super slight impression of a "sparkling" wine. Very precise, prancing and elegant. The lively acidity creates a monstrous drinkability. Salty finish. Although the "fun" have priority here, you recognize that K.P. Keller has a sweet spot for Kabinetts and takes this task very serious. Would love to try this wine in 5-10 years.
