Weingut Robert Weil
Kiedricher Turmberg Trocken Riesling
Sporting a killer nose that could only be German, leaping out of the glass with youthful vigour is the Kiedrich Turmberg 1er Lage Trocken from Weingut Robert Weil, a drop-dead gorgeous riesling from the Rheingau.
With great minerality, the nose features aromas of oyster shell, the freshest of lime zest, peach, cardamom, faint petrol and fresh cream. It’s a wine you can sniff for ages, but then it’s got somewhere to be. It veritably explodes in the mouth, that lime returning with a tongue-full of acidity and razor-sharp precision. Flecks of white pepper add a slight element of spice, while it races through the palate to a long, bone-dry finish.
A powerful, chiselled example of Riesling trocken.
