This is called Benjamin’s Cuvée. Aged 10 years, but still dark as night. Smells berry-licoous with a hint of damp earth. Bit of toast too. Flavors are bright and juicy. Tannic too. This has nice balance with a tart streak, but it’s also fairly big and dense in the flavors. Some balsamic without the vinegar and maybe a hint of black licorice as well. Think this could age a bit more and still hold up. Great score at Grocery Outlet in Davis.
