Pleasantly surprised by this. Tons of caramel, chocolaty red fruit and licorice on the nose. The palate starts focused with big plush red fruit but ends with echoing Rutherford fruit bomb. Not bad.

Love Whitehall. Consistently good. The merlot is a strong player, much closer to Cabernet than most. This '07 still has all of its muscle.
