Pale Lemon in colour. Funky notes with under ripe white peach - obvious French oak at this young age. On the palate vanillan oak, mealy leesy flavours - more savoury than fruit driven. The Great Southland of West Australia, where we have been for the last 8 days, has always been strong for Riesling and Shiraz (Pinot Noir ok) but, not so much Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, where the jury was still out for me, but this Chardonnay and a few others I’ve had were quite good.
