Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch (Erben-Thanisch)
Mosel Riesling
Bright, pure, and zingy. Very good QBA.. flower petals, peach skin, juicy apple, apricot, and slate. Sweeter than some other QBA's, but with a citrusy zing.. this has some flair, like a collar-popping freshman trying to leave an impression.

Jan 10th, 2016Hello! This is about as pretty an estate #Riesling as you are likely to find. 2012 was such a user-friendly, easy-drinking vintage loaded with bright, clean fruit, citrus and green apple notes galore! #Thanisch #Riesling

Jul 17th, 20142012 is round and fleshy but balanced by sufficient acid, from my tasting so far. Much better than 2011. This is no exception--an acid hole-puncher cuts through the fatty midpalate sugar. Tasty stuff!

Mar 31st, 2015Such a beautiful elegant balance of acidity and sweetness. Over 370 years of wine making. Back in the day Riesling used to be more expensive than Bordeaux. The most well known vineyard. They don't sell any of their winery. To the nose: some white flowery petals, tangerine, a bit of nuttiness and light earth tones. Great stone fruit sweetness to round it out.
