A wonderful Ripasso. The wine is juicy rich, and so well balanced. Dark fruits, tobacco, violets, dark chocolate and just the right amount of tartness, make this wine very interesting. This is a terrific “Baby Amorone”. It hits all the right notes.

Developed nicely during the course of the evening. Flat at the beginning turning into a vivid smooth fruit forward experience. Brilliant Ruby color.

Deep ruby dress. Red fruit nose cherry cherry, kirsch, vanilla, rose, roasted, chocolate. Ample, sweet mouth with a sweet tip and lively, balancing acidity. Nice pleasure. To drink or keep.
Robe rubis profond. Nez fruit rouges cerise griotte, kirsch, vanille, torréfié, chocolat. Bouche ample, suave avec pointe sucrée et acidité vive et équilibrante. À boire ou à garder.

Our first ripasso. Nose of chocolate and coffee, with some dark fruit. Light tannins and smooth, with nice vanilla and horehound. Wasn't sure what to expect but me likes!

Jan 11th, 2022Nice nose with some alcohol. Delicious flavors of cherry jam and nice tannins. I love ripasso-style wines and this was a good one. It may have been a little much with our eclectic ham and tamales Christmas dinner. But everyone loved. Thank you to Agnes M. for this nice gift. I’ll be buying more.
