The wine pours a light rust color And is ruby in the glass. It has a mild nose. The first thing you notice about it is its sweet flavor, tastes of strawberry jam. And then then maybe a hint of vegetables underneath. The tannins are not that structured and the finish is weak. That said, $15 for a Napa Cab is intriguing. It seems like there’s more potential here. Will probably get at least one more bottle and put it up for a year or so and revisit. — 7 months ago
Nice wine to accompany the filet mignon that are good friends the Swansons made for me for my 57th birthday. — a month ago
Wine pours a dark maroon. Wonderful flavors of cherry pie, vanilla, and other berries and plum. Fairly acidic, moderate tannins and an excellent vegetable finish. The wine was a perfect complement to our prime rib and steak dinner the first night of our Christmas 2023 cruise. A definite rebuy-a good value in the premium Napa wines. — 4 months ago
This wine pours a clear rust red. It has aromas of leather on the nose. It has flavors of dried fruit that are restrained a bit. Strong structured tannins were present which I think is a trade mark. We decanted the wine for about 90 minutes first. It went very well with the grass fed ribeyes and lobster we cooked for my son-in-law’s birthday. That said, I was expecting more. I really thought it would blow me away and it didn’t. It was good, just not great. I don’t think it was too expensive at Costco. Although I got it before I kept track of how much I paid for wines. #barolowine #nebbiolo #piedmontwines #italianwines #costcowines — 7 months ago
Austin Hope is excellent every time. This went perfectly with the filet mignon for my 57th birthday at our favorite spot, Hannah’s steakhouse in Rancho Santa Margarita. With good friends, the Noce’s. — 2 months ago
Wine pours brick red. We decanted for an hour before dinner. Went perfectly with the prime prime rib for our Christmas 2023 dinner. Flavors of currant, spice some licorice, and dried berries. An excellent value and definite rebuy. — 4 months ago
“Sipping Fine Wines” comments exactly mirror my own. It went well with the chicken pesto risotto we paired it with.
Enough said. This one is a great value, a hidden gem and a definite rebuy. $20 at Sprouts. #redwine #redblends #californianwine — 6 months ago

This wine pours a deep rich red purple. It has a beautiful nose that has spice and fruit. The flavor is very full with delicious red berries, leather and cocoa. One of the best wines we’ve had lately. The stock went perfectly with prime steaks at Hanna’s with good friends the Noce’s. — 11 days ago
