This wine pours a somewhat clear ruby red. It has a nice nose. The fruit is restrained. And after it’s been open for a little bit, the tannins really come through. This is an excellent wine that I got at Costco for $48. I would definitely re-buy it. I have never been disappointed by a Cru Beaujolais, though I admit the first day this #brouilly was closed and a touch unbalanced on the tart side. Wine fridge +1 day and it’s expressed itself pleasantly. Cooked raspberry, lighter cherry nose, lovely acid-forward balance with more pronounced fruit on the second day, understated mineral notes.
