One of my personal favorites. Rich notes of dark chocolate, black coffee, and currant. The 2008 is perfect right around this time.

A foray into the DDOC, I'm finding, is always a good idea. The color is a deep, velvety garnet, evoking my younger days at university. This one is a red blend with strong (and I mean STRONG) notes of blackberry, currant, and blueberry on the palette. Dark chocolate and bold spice make for a finish that lasts all night long.

For the price???? A KILLER!!! fresh jamm. Young Cherries. Medium to high on the dry. A bit bit fruity (raisins). For the price it's a must

Nice. The price was $110 so not a huge mark-up. Let it breath and it opens up.

Deep ruby. The one I tried is a bit corked. But still fruity of red cherries and plums. Dried sweet date and figs, smoky and leathery. Medium tannin, very suave , medium acidity, quite balanced with good flavor intensity. Date and fig are pronounced in mouth and finish, a bit bitter but pleasant. Medium + finish. 87 points. Drink now or cellar it for another 2-3 years.
