Deep ruby. The one I tried is a bit corked. But still fruity of red cherries and plums. Dried sweet date and figs, smoky and leathery. Medium tannin, very suave , medium acidity, quite balanced with good flavor intensity. Date and fig are pronounced in mouth and finish, a bit bitter but pleasant. Medium + finish. 87 points. A lovely Gevrey Chambertin, still youthful, restrained, complex and elegant with a wide spectrum of cherries, strawberries,raspberries, licorice and mocha. Hints of moss and mushroom evolved after fruit, red flower. Oak integrates very well. Chewy tannin and high acids stand up the body of this seemingly light-colored village Burgundy. Medium + length. Simply so addicted to this Burgundy-red color, should have had the patience to wait for another 2-3 years. 88points. Burgundy is always the one that reminds me of the nature and this should be the nature of oenology as well, a respect for the terroir! — 11 years ago

A mineral Spatlese that is pronounced with much lemon, green apple and tropical fruit and melon. Uncompromising minerals through the whole tasting process. Medium lemon green with much small bubbles. High acid and sweet, very delicious and saliva-dripping. Lively and refreshing however with round body. Good desert wine. Medium+ finish. 89 points. Can be aged for 5 years. A heavy blend of heavy grapes. Deep crimson and dense. Open and lively Bordeaux with black fruit, cassis and pencil lead, leather as well as new-oak-brought vanilla and dark chocolate. Full bodied and medium+acidity, high alcohol at 15.5!( Though tasted like around 14.5) Finishes long, the alcohol weaken the length though. A successful blend with Viognier. Red fruit dominant with black pepper and sweet spices, bushy and floral with peach and tropical fruit as well as some mulberries. Viognier added complexity and freshness to this wine. Quality tannin, supple yet standing, medium acidity with mediocre finish. Oak could be detected on the palate. 88points. An impressive Crianza from Madrid, mulberries, blackberries and fruity, not tired at all with attractive chocolate and vanilla notes brought by American oak. A great value at 20 US dollars. Brick-red, pronounced nose with a spectrum of red fruit and black cherry, leather, tobacco and truffles. Caramel and moss are very pronounced too. It may have passed its peak but nevertheless, it is still a pleasant Gran Reserva that is complicated and not tired at all. In the mouth, suave tannin with very accessible acidity, fruit, truffles and leather are displayed with a pretty lengthy finish on animal fur and caramel. This wine should be enjoyed the moment that it is accessible and without decantation, the fruit and finish will go down rapidly after an hour's decanting with more account of notice on alcohol. 87points. It's a pleasant 2007 Toscana, a blend of Sangiovese cab and merlot. Deep ruby, edge began to change. It is plummy with many red fruit characters as well as licorice and leather. But it is also a bit annoying on the nose with hint of overripe fruit and detergent, the alcohol may be detected after this. Tannin is adequate yet soft, medium+ acidity and medium length.
