Riesling attack! Still trying to wrap my head around these guys - this one is a bit sweeter than I'm used to, wine soda, but I imagine thats a shortcoming of my palette and not this wine, which has some pretty great fruit and minerals behind it.

A mineral Spatlese that is pronounced with much lemon, green apple and tropical fruit and melon. Uncompromising minerals through the whole tasting process. Medium lemon green with much small bubbles. High acid and sweet, very delicious and saliva-dripping. Lively and refreshing however with round body. Good desert wine. Medium+ finish. 89 points. Can be aged for 5 years. Tasted in Beijing, Nov.5th

throughly enjoyable, but at $24 it would get lost in the crowded field of great rieslings in its price category.

Typical wonderful Riesling from Monchhof... sweet flowers and pears, good sugar and acid, all flows quite nicely.
