As per previous tasting note 107 weeks ago. Love these succulent lush savoury fruited Amarones. Priuney notes with dried raisin, milk chocolate, leather, red licorice, tobacco and a touch of cinnamon. On the full bodied palate quite sweet fruited with raisin and milk chocolate flavours finishing with soft largely resolved supple tannins. Good QPR for an Amarone. Nothing like the price of a Quintarelli.

Jan 8th, 2021Mid to deep ruby in colour. Muted nose - probably a bit young. A sweet rich full bodied palate with powerful ripe (raisined) fruit showing Prune and spice. Have always identified Amarones with Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut Milk Chocolate. A touch of tobacco finishing with very dry tannins. With that intense flavour comes high alcohol at 15.5%. Amazing the variety available with Italian Wine.

Wow! Rich, velvety, ripe... standard adjectives, superlatives, all apply to this excellent Italian. The wine wasn’t bad either 😉🤣 also agree with others re: dark chocolate, and that it needs at least 5 years to open up
