Pear, apricot, the faintest petillance. It’s not amazing but it is, as the Italians say, typical. As in, representing its type. If you like candied, you should go here. It’s not very passito, just the slightest hint. Very mild. You wouldn’t drink this on a hot summer day, but you would drink it outside in the summer if it was raining. — 2 years ago
Lovely flavor but no finish. I’d love to drink a fresher one. — 3 years ago
Maybe because I’m coming off a cold, but I felt the nose was terribly muted and the wine ethereal, but not in a good way, more of lack of body not compensated for with great finesse. Such is Guigal’s reputation though that I would try this again under better circumstances. — 2 years ago
Remarkably fruity for its age. It’s not the Nebbiolo of my dreams, but it was a very drinkable wine nonetheless. — 2 years ago
Past it’s prime. Too bad. I’m definitely a fan. — 2 years ago
Thought this would be better. Not overly nuanced for a premiere cru. — 2 years ago
It’s in the name: “Rad”. The bottle is beautiful, the wine is beautiful, the experience was beautiful. — 2 years ago
Ridiculously good. If you want to know what great CA Napa Cabernet Sauvignon tastes like, here you go. — 3 years ago

With the idiosyncratic flavor of a Heitz Cab - you love it, or it - this Trailside was on fire. Delicious with a rare ribeye, there was no mistaking what we were drinking. Probably closer to the end of the window 20 years in, but still fresh and delightful. — 2 years ago
