I love these wines so much, but the bottle variance is such that from one bottle to the next, you might think you're drinking two different wines. I had one two months ago, and it showed much more of the Sangiovese; lighter, fresher, and more acid. And a week or so ago I opened one that was far more Sagrantino dominant with a heavy smokiness and much firmer tannin. Amazing wines, but definitely tricky to buy when you're not always sure what you're getting. — 8 years ago
