We had this with a curry but not any curry a to top curry at Trishna. The wine went really well with the spicey food as the refreshing acidity cut through the spiceyness. Notes of cherry on the palate — 8 years ago

Found this in the cellar! Must be from The Wine Society. 1993 was the year Harry was born — 8 years ago

Opened and decantered beautiful colour orangey brick red. I'm not a burgundy expert but for some reason strawberries and cream sprang to mind.

Starting the Christmas season with this. Not disappointed, vibrant deep cherry red colour and flavour . It's yummy — 8 years ago

We had this as part of a comparative tasting of Pinot Noir from the around the world and it was by far the least preferred. But glad you enjoyed it. My full notes are on CellarTracker.

That's more a quirk of your method than a property of the wine itself

I really like this wine. It's like a southern French red and goes really well with food. Not as powerful as some Spanish reds but I like that. — 8 years ago

2nd wine of the Christmas season. Lovely nose of bright red fruit. But on the palette rather thin with highish acidity that would cut through fatty food. Less good as an aperitif. — 8 years ago

Started with the Society's Champagne, then another bottle of the Jobard Meursault, finally Sylvie Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin 2008. Pictures/notes to follow. What about you?
