Highly recommended at Specs, so I went for it. A friend has also recommended Ribero del Duero over Rioja, so I thought I'd give it a go. A sort of mild berry-cherry-clove aroma. Mild tannins with a spiced black cherry taste. Really a mildish wine with moments of Spanish flair. Would probably like this wine with lamb or maybe pork tenderloin, depending how it was prepared. Weirdly, I'm curious to maybe try it with like some kind of Indian chutney plate? — 9 years ago
No fancy shmancy review. Had it with an interesting beef curry and bulgogi fusion dinner and it up to the challenge of bridging the strong diverse flavors of the meal. Did I mention the homemade bread and butter pickles with clove, the pickled beets, and steamed rice that accompanied the beef? This Malbec tied them together like stringed pearls. — 9 years ago
A kind of spiced chocolate aroma mixed with a mild somewhat developed structure dressed with initial plum-cherry to taste developing to a very strong plum aftertaste. Quite nice. Should've paired it with the piranha I grilled two days ago instead of the London Pride beer! — 9 years ago
Berries, maybe blackberries or marionberries, provide a beautiful bouquet that continues as it is introduced to the palette. While tannins develop a nice but unbalanced structure due to lower acidity, the taste is quite stable in the way of an Escher structure. Overall composition has plot twists like a Grisham novel and is sure to accentuate both spicy and mild food pairings. — 9 years ago
Light tannins and frankly not very structured at all. Berry on first taste gives a little lift to the palette that fades nice and easy. Enjoyed this Tempranillo as it took me back to the time my wife and I stayed in Laguardia. — 9 years ago
Medium-full-bodied, soft hints of black cherry, seemed like light tannin and acidity, and seems like it would pair well with most heavier foods. — 9 years ago

Nice and crisp with hints of citrus. It’s a great wine for the price. Great wine for a nice relaxing weekend afternoon on the porch...and yes, I know that’s the Costco label. — 6 years ago
