On opening, the nose was really interesting. Some definite barrel funk, pepper, spice, Cassis and cherry. After an hour or so the funk blew off and the fruit become more forward. An awesome palate, medium to full bodied, lots of black fruits. Amazingly long finish with plenty of tannin left to go another 5 years. — 8 years ago

Classic Cristom nose with all spice, dark fruits, stems and earth. The warm vintage is apparent on the palate but the alcohol is pretty well integrated. Very nice wine considering the difficult vintage. — 8 years ago
