Very good, solid Bordeaux. Deep texture with the hint of cherry and black currant that you look for. My sole critique is the price - not significantly much better than many equivalents available in the $40-50 range. — 8 years ago
One of the best cabs I've ever had. All the classic tastes of s great California cabernet (cherries, black currant, and the interesting hint of Virginia tobacco), but welded together in a smooth way that makes them tough to discern and all the more rewarding on the finish. Enjoy! — 7 years ago
Great wine, very unconventionally so for a Cabernet. Typical strong notes of Chocolate, Cherries and Vanilla. The nuanced aspect is the spice that happens when this wine opens up (allow to breathe for 10-15 minutes) - notes of peppers and jalapeños throughout that offer a wonderful complement to the usual depth of a bold California cabernet. — 8 years ago

Amazingly smooth Chianti with a lot of the subtle spice notes that you look for, but with a smoothness that I haven't tasted in Chiantis for a long time.
