This wine is so delicious! It has an oaky nose to it and a oaky buttery smooth taste. #1 is a taste to remember. — 6 years ago

Hmm... still not the wine for me I’m sorry to say.
The nose is of light fruits and I feel as if the alcohol tickles my nostrils which is weird because the alcohol content is mild at a whopping 13%
Sipping the wine brings a bitter tart fruit flavour, I guess you can say much like a plum.
After taking a few sips, you will find that your tongue is now very parched and dry.
Fortunately the tannins aren’t very prevalent in this wine or else it would be a total disaster. Hopefully you will@have better luck with this wine but as for my tastebuds, they do not agree with this wine. Sorry.

This wine has a bit of a weak nose for me, you can smell the red cherry and vanilla. Moving over to the taste, it is very mild tobacco taste and more of a light cranberry taste. For me, I can taste the alcohol content boldly but that is just me and that’s why this wine isn’t for my tastebuds. I’m sure if I gave it more aeration, it would be tastier. Enjoy — 6 years ago

Right from the start when you open the bottle and smell the cork, you will get the smooth oaky scents that are entangled throughout the wine.
Pour a bit of wine into a glass and swirl it around and around. Now take your nose to the glass and that rich oaky and vanilla flavour will pleasantly fill your airway.
Okay let’s get to the good part and sip, sip, hooray!
Swish, swish, bish and down the hatchet we go.
This wine will send you a slow yet full bodied flavour of cherries and spices then will develop into a man interesting deep tobacco and smoky aftertaste. This smoke flavour reminds me of the sipping Mescal from Mexico.
This wine also has lingering tannins that go well with the lingering taste. Yummmm!
I hope you can enjoy this wine as much as I have!

Let’s take this glass on a magical journey!
The wine has been aerated to a 3 hour aeration.
Now, pour a little red in that glass and begin to swirl it around. As you swirl, put your nose up to the glass and take an inhale. Ah yes, that smell must be heaven on earth. You will smell notes of oak and this may be weird but also notes of delicious brand new rubber. Wow that was definitely pleasing to the senses.
Okay, let’s get to sipping the wine now and continue this magical journey of the senses. Take a sip and swish it around the mouth then drink. A mouthwatering sensation will follow your sip, along with many fruitful flavours and a warming blissful feeling down to your stomach.
My favourite taste about the wine is definitely the American and French oak in which the wine was aged in for 20 months. I hope that this experience is just as blissful for yourself as it has been for me. Enjoy!

The nose is very fruity. With a slight inhale though the nose you get a berry aroma, if you take a deep and long inhale, you will get the aroma of tobaccos.
As you sip the wine, it comes to the tastebuds very lightly and the alcohol content hits you mid to lower throat level. The after taste is again fruity that doesn’t leave a bitter taste in your mouth as many other red wines do.
As you drink the wine down, you will notice the tannins leave a residue on the tongue and move to the teeth.
I give it a solid 90 out of 100 for my tastebuds. This is because I don’t drink chilean wine often but this wine is the best wine from Chile I have had so far.

Here we have another old vine Zinfandel from California!
I have been interested in the old vines these days and this one hooked me in with the 2015 vintage and of course the sale price.
This Zinfandel has a nose with character. A light swirl and a whiff will send notes of peppery spices through the nose, then a bit of oak along the tail end. That’ll give a little tickle to the olfactory.
Sipping and swishing the wine is also interesting to the senses...
This wine is also peppery to the tastebuds, along with hints of light berries. A “ripe raspberry” flavour definitely tingles with the taste as well, yum. I believe that any bottle with “old” in the name should resemble a ripe grape taste and this wine definitely does that by complimenting spices and ripe raspberries.
I am definitely impressed with this wine and I hope you will enjoy the character of this wine just as much as I am enjoying it. Cheers!

In the middle about this one. The second glass is definitely better than the first. It is rich and berry full but just not peppery enough for my likings as an old vine Zinfandel. — 6 years ago

As you swish the wine around and send your nose to the rim of your glass, a hint of smoke alongside a whiff of spice will tingle your olfactory. Now take that glass and touch the wine to your lips and take the smallest sip while breathing through your nose to be hit hard by 2 of your senses. Now your taste buds will get a rush of oak and black cherry that expands the tongue and moistens the cheeks. The wine will slide down your throat coating every inch with a smooth, buttery texture. The alcohol content hitting you in the deep throat resembling a higher than average alcohol content. This wine is extravagant, but if you have too much at once, the tannins will turn you red. This wine is marvellous and the price tag definitely will reflect that. — 6 years ago
