First red blend and fell in love with the label at Trader Joe's. Read the back label and had my buzz words I look for in wine. Definitely pick up a sweet, smokey taste with a slightly spicy finish. Would purchase again especially for a hostess gift for parties. — 9 years ago

Preface by saying I am just getting into wine and that this was my first bottle.

Was on sale at the grocery store so didn't have big expectations but was pleasantly surprised.

First glass was over powered with the tannins but picked up black cherry, raspberry and chocolate notes. Next day the wine definitely mellowed and balanced out more and picked up almost an espresso flavor towards the end.

All in all, this was a wonderfully affordable and tasty wine that I will pick up and enjoy again.

P.S. Great when added to a meat spaghetti sauce for added flavor and the wine has been open for too long ;)

Sadly was corked and wasn't the best for sipping, a little too vinegary. But worked and tasted great for a steak marinade! — 9 years ago

Aroma was familiar yet indistinguishable (very herbaceous/floral).

Picked up notes of apple and peach tastes. Highly acidic, no tannins and had a slightly buttery feel in the mouth.

First white wine and highly enjoyable. Would purchase again.

8.3

Appearance: Deep burgundy color (similar to my hair color haha). Full Bodied. Aroma: sweet red and dark fruit with some citrus notes. Initial taste: Black cherry and berry, mid to low tannins. More aeration: Sweeter more acidic. Little to no tannins. More citrus notes from the high acidity. Definitely sweet. Not usually what I look for in a cab, but not too bad. Would I purchase again? Maybe, but probably not. — 9 years ago
