Drinks more like a Zinfandel. Clean with a bit of sweetness and lots of extracted ripe black fruit. Somewhat flabby, but I guess that makes it go down a little too easy. Smooth and mellow, but a bit drab.

Not bad for drinking on its own, though would prob benefit from something nice to nibble on, me thinks.

Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
Voluptuous nose of blueberries, blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, spices, sweet vinegar, peppercorn, chocolates, dark coffee, tobacco and cola.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, raisins, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, earth, chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso and black pepper.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins.
This 4 year old is a nice surprise. Drinking nicely now with great balance. Smooth with a great mouth feel.
Simple, but very pleasurable, especially by itself. Paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
Good right out of the bottle and didn't change much afterwards.
13.5 % alcohol by volume.
