Very attractive bouquet. Begins with a cool blast on the tip of the tongue and quickly turns dry and thin over the tongue with a woody or burnt, earthen mid-palate phase. Finish has a quick hint if sweetness lost in the dryness on the sides of the tongue. Would go nice with meat and embutidos. — 12 years ago
Unpleasant bouquet smelling of vinegar or alcohol. Sweet attack with berry tones. Full, rich evolution with a flavorful, alcoholic finish with berry tones. — 12 years ago
Pleasant, dark and woody bouquet. Cold, refreshing and fruity attack with a flavorful, fruity evolution. Finish and aftertaste is a bit disappointing with a mediocre, watery taste. — 12 years ago
As my friend once told me, a red Ribeiro is like a white Rioja. This bottle was significantly watery. It also tasted like a white wine with food dye, which is not my favorite taste. A few days later it was sweet with berry and grape tones, and I couldn't complain. — 12 years ago
Flavorful, rich bouquet; dry with grape tones. Attack is sweet but not too sweet, with a definite grape taste. It evokes a deep purple color but not quite blackness. Evolution treats is to a full bodies wine, both rich and pleasant with some dryness and an increasing woody flavor. Finish is a rather tasty grape, some dryness. Really tasty bottle. — 12 years ago
As the label says, "fire and ice." Dry, warm (but icy), earthy attack. Flavorful, rich, fruity, and filling mid-pallet phase. Finish is rich with wood and grape tones. — 12 years ago
Remains pretty tart and floral with woody undertones throughout. It was, however, rather hard to describe and as a whole remained sort of a watery, nondescript wine. The first day its aftertaste was unpleasant. Substantially better several days later. — 12 years ago
Very interesting, woody, pleasant wine. Really enjoyable. Maintains both a sweet grape flavor as well as a woody dryness throughout. Gets cooler and smooth over the tongue in the evolution. Enjoyable aftertaste. — 12 years ago
Vanilla, current in the bouquet. A very sweet, sugary, vanilla-y attack with a strong coolness to it. Evolution grows increasingly alcoholic with a taste of grapes. Finish is warm, alcoholic, with a hint of oak or berries. Reminiscent of a Port. — 12 years ago

This wine was great. Mostly cool and sweet throughout, more flavors present themselves in the evolution, taking us on a tasty and wild ride. Heavy berry tones. — 12 years ago
