It’s a good wine. Not overly complex or@memorable but Love the heavy bottle. It’s been rated as high as 96 (Parker?) not remotely close to that rating. I would buy it again but it’s not special. — 2 years ago

Spectator gave it a 91 so I picked it up. Very unspectacular. Bottom line “it’s wine” as a friend once described mediocre wine. Nothing memorable but opened up slightly after an hour.
It one of a hundred wines I would drink again but not buy again.

I had the 2012 last night with a tasty Italian meal with friends. I don’t say this lightly... it’s Perhaps the finest wine I have ever had the pleasure of indulging. Wonderfully complex, huge fruit bouquet, perfect amount of oak, big but refined. A real treat and memorable bottle. — 5 years ago

92 is rating ws and many others are giving it and I think that is right on the mark. It’s really gets meaty and a little more peppery the longer it breathes. The bouquet in the glass when it’s nearly empty is remarkably wonderful. Very enjoyable vintage. — 3 years ago

It’s starts out quite fruity but unique and very enjoyable. As it continues to breath it gets more complex and bolder. It drinks several times it’s price. I think spectator gave it a 93 - I’ll go so far to give it a rare 94. Exceptional value at under $30 and everything a good wine should be. — 4 years ago

Really quite enjoyable (2015 Charles wetmore) medium bodied but lots of character. Drinks well beyond its sticker price. Hard to find any fault and opens up nicely after an hour. — 6 years ago

An elegant wine that is very enjoyable and special but not quite elite. I’d actually give it a 9.35 as its borderline 9.4. Easily the heaviest Bottle of wine I’ve ever seen- which I personally think means quality. A friend brought it to dinner and it was the best of the night but can’t say It is worth the price tag if I had to purchase. Not a white but easily Complimented my sea bass and mussel meal perfectly. — 4 years ago

A heavy bottle always makes a good 1st impression. It’s as good as it gets for $15. A lot to like here. — 6 years ago
