Parker gave it a 94- was expecting it to drink like a 92-93- it drank like a 91-92.

If there is a better red wine for $25 right now - let me know. Big, velvety, complex, and downright a steal. Better than any recent vintage I can recall. Still posting 16% alcohol content which i think helps bring it up a notch. — 4 years ago

An elegant wine that is very enjoyable and special but not quite elite. I’d actually give it a 9.35 as its borderline 9.4. Easily the heaviest Bottle of wine I’ve ever seen- which I personally think means quality. A friend brought it to dinner and it was the best of the night but can’t say It is worth the price tag if I had to purchase. Not a white but easily Complimented my sea bass and mussel meal perfectly. — 5 years ago

At first sip I found it to be decent- within 15 minutes later I found it to be exceptional. Complex,
Prominent dark cherry and ripe fig with just enough oak. Stupendous! It’s the only Chianti I have ever enjoyed. Ever!

It is a solid cab but there are several options to buy for less & that are easily more impressive. Low alcohol content make it a good summer cab to enjoy with a nice meal. Will drink again without hesitation but hard pressed to buy again. — 5 years ago

It’s a good wine. Not overly complex or@memorable but Love the heavy bottle. It’s been rated as high as 96 (Parker?) not remotely close to that rating. I would buy it again but it’s not special. — 3 years ago

92 is rating ws and many others are giving it and I think that is right on the mark. It’s really gets meaty and a little more peppery the longer it breathes. The bouquet in the glass when it’s nearly empty is remarkably wonderful. Very enjoyable vintage. — 4 years ago

This is unusually good considering wine coming out of land down under has been underwhelming last few years. Not as Oakley as a typical cab but complex in its own right. Blueberries and rasberries are prominent but highly enjoyable. Drinks twice it’s price. Tremendous value especially when few are to be found of late. Might be our new every day but certainly good enough to bring to bring to any occasion. Wine enthusiast gave 94 which is a little aggressive but certainly worthy of 92. Need to let breathe a good 30-45 minutes or you are selling this wine short. — 5 years ago
