Marchesi Antinori
Tignanello Toscana Super Tuscan Blend
Classic super Tuscan. Already in the drinking zone. Plush, round and dense in the mouth. Nose is attenuated with hints of barrel toast. Mid palate is almost honied. Medium tannins with soft acidity. Nice long tail to finish. Almost no acidity to talk about. I’m not sure this can be cellared for too long.
Kesté, NYC.

The Antinori family, one of the world's oldest and most distinguished wine producers, lived in Tuscany since the 14th century. Blend of 80% Sangiovese, 15% Cab Sauv & 5% Cab Franc, less maceration than prior vintages. Deep Ruby, aromas of black berry fruit aromas with herb, mint and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with cacao, vanilla and tobacco spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced, ending with oak, juicy fruit and earthy mineral tones. Very Nice!

Dec 18th, 2023Pair of 19s on our last night in Vail that will need a lot more time. No corkage allowed so all of the wines shown the past few days were off their lists.
