Hard to believe this is a 2001 Rose, and in a split. Perfume nose rose petals, hints of grapefruit and youthful. Crazy — 9 years ago

2001 vintage. Found this little gem in a dark spot at bottom of cellar. Forgot about it. Would have liked to open 5 years ago but fun to see what evolves. A dearth of fruit but plenty to enjoy. Finishes a tad tart but lots of tobacco which is superb with the Cohiba in my hand. Happy Holidays! — 8 years ago
Excellent dark fruit and approachable — 9 years ago
Never fails to be a crowd pleaser. Washington cab at its finest. These wines benefit from time. Can't wait to try this in another 5 years — 9 years ago
2009, and still lots of life. Such a well crafted wine. Tons of red and black fruit, boysenberry comes to mind. Good acids and not over extracted by any means. Also some hints of black pepper that compliment fruit well. I would say biggest bang for your buck in higher end Aussies. Though David Powell is a bit of a train wreck, he knows how to make some fine tasting wine. Kudos — 8 years ago

This wine is undrinkable. How it gets the ratings it does is is ridiculous! Tastes like a 10 day old steak with a creosote rub. And this is not the first of these wines I have. Not sure what is going on with WA Syrah but this No Girls, Horsepower and Cayuse are the most overrated wines in the US. — 6 years ago
