Sweet burgundy, elegant, amazing on the nose, even more surprising when drinking. Flower, well, mud, spring to on the nose. Surprising, since its my first time tasting such a viabrant burgundy. Love it in the beginning, but has an unspeakable emptiness after drinking. Almost coming on too strong leaving nothing to linger to after — 9 years ago
Kept in impeccable condition. Aged in temperature controlled cellar with high humidity, untouched since the 80's. Aged gracefully, could taste the once flamboyant bordeaux mix aged and to become more subtle, long finish — 9 years ago
Splended aromatic nose. Burgundy like. Ripe and ready to drink. Lovely. Opened bottle and let it sit for 1 hour before drinking. Every new glass poured from the bottle taste fresh. — 9 years ago
Red currant, red fruit, pepper, on the nose. Subtle finish, smooth, silky, — 9 years ago
Drank it a day after it was opened, air tight and stored in a fridge. Strong vineger smell. After a few hours wine turned out to be quite pleasant! — 9 years ago
Beautiful, elegant, medium to long finish, cherry, changes from light hearted then tannin starts to show, after 2 hours tannin disappears fully opens up. — 9 years ago

You would imaine Burgundy to have its usual characterisitics. But the Romanee Conti was far out of this world. Leaving le roy, armand rousseau, any and everything else in the dust. The perfect balance. One drop can tantalize you. One drop can make you fall in love. Acidity is great, long finish, light red/brown. — 9 years ago
