This is in my top five favorite wines of all time. Full bodied and lush without being obnoxiously oaky. It dances on your palette for so long it's almost impossible to describe everything about it. I had a special dinner that involved an entire love of foie gras presented at the table. Instead of serving it with the traditional Sauternes (which we did use as a geleé) I served this. It was the highlight of the evening — 10 years ago
Served it with some Waygu short ribs and a simple risotto topped with white truffles. Really peppery and spicy in the nose, mineral notes on the pallet, and a long finish. It was a hit! — 10 years ago
