Clean, focused, very well made.
Loved the spicy bloody edge. — 9 years ago
Inland, altitude Sangio and dark, thick Sagrantino complement very well. Ripe, exotic cherry, red plum, tobacco leaf, menthol.
Palate delivers even with a cut-off, over extracted finish. — 9 years ago

Limited Dan Murphy's release.
Nose opens up with poached strawberries, sour cherries, cranberries, graphite, flint, gun powder.
Cola, malt, dried rose and jasmine petals, freshly turned damp earth, autumn underbrush.
Palate is impressively vibrant, long and focused; popping red cherry candy like acidity.
Tannins shine at the mid-palate and carry a liquorice balsamic like long finish.
More old-world than I expected, more Barbaresco than Barolo.
Great stuff!

Vendemmia 11.
Took a while to open up into succulent cherries, marasca, poutpurri, cracked pepper, liquorice, young leather.
Palate in balance, drinks like a Nebb, with a tad less tannins.
Mineral, elegant. Probably just reaching his peek. — 9 years ago
Barbecue Bargain.
Violet and jasmin flowers, dried deli meats, wild berries.
Complex enough for $9. — 9 years ago
Fabio Pallottini
2012 vintage.
Generous, giving, but not over the top handling.
White peach, nectarine, pineapple, roasted hazelnuts, vanilla bean and coconut from barrel ageing. Good lees character. At its peak now. — 9 years ago
