It is HARD for me to drink Rose. This one passed the test. I now realize that I only enjoy Roses from Provence (Cotes de Provence). This is not as good as Domaine de la Foquette Cuvee Rosee d'Aurore Cotes de Provence, but was still enjoyable.

Funky Italian red. You can taste the cow dung like a Cote Rotie. Paired well with garlicky Italian freshly made pasta with fava beans. — 10 years ago
Complex and layered Cab from Napa. Had it in Vancouver - Go figure. — 10 years ago
This wine is smoky, peppery and reminds me of Indian Bakarvardi. There are notes of wildflowers. VERY interesting.

This is the first bottle of Chinon that made me pause and realize that 1) I really enjoy Chinon and 2) I need to pay more attention to Cabernet Francs in general. I had it at the Union Square Cafe, NY, and have been looking for this bottle ever since (to no avail). The Les Graves bottles that are out there are of a different year and thus taste different.
