I’ve never been the biggest fan of Montepulciano wines. This one was one of the better ones I’ve tried. It is heavy on the tannins and very acidic. It is well described as being fragrant though I would say the cherry notes are overshadowed by the smoke, acid and tannins. Not my cup of tea — 7 months ago

This is a very gentle wine. No heavy aftertaste. Full bodied, easy on the tannins; more reminiscent of a Pinot Noir. Lightly fruity and mildly dry. — 15 days ago
Very light upon opening. The flavor profile deepens and tannins increase upon a few days of room temp storage. It’s a good summer red, as it’s not overly dry and bitter. It’s very neutral in flavor palette. Not too berry and bright and not dark or nutty/ woody. — 5 months ago
Very robust table wine that pairs well with tomato sauce, and red meat, and yet is still light for red wine. — a year ago
This was quite good! It needed time to breathe but ended up having notes of black pepper, gentle berry flavors, and a pleasant lingering taste that went well with Mediterranean herbed salmon and purple sweet potato. — a month ago

Smooth finish, and full bodied. I wouldn’t call it intense but I would call it mildly dry and fruity. I taste the cherry. It would go well with steak — 7 months ago
I only smell the alcohol upon swirling, and noticed the very tightly packed legs on the side of the glass. Very mild and gentle body with notes of berries that are also mildly floral. Not mad at this for the price- similar to the price you’d actually pay in Italy. — a year ago

This was about as good as the 2021 Vintage. A typical Cotes Du Rhône, very similar to a good Pinot Noir with lighter tannins but full bodied. Notes of cherry with a gentle aftertaste. Still warming, but not quite as warming as a Cab Sav or a Merlot — 8 days ago
