In Parma having a most wonderful meal with my lovely wife. Fabulous local ingredients along with the local favorite Lambrusco. Slightly sweet. Slightly effervescent. Deep red/purple. Rich and wonderful. Need to find this in the states. Fun and enjoyable. — 10 years ago
2005. Had this since its release. Enjoyed with classic pairing with salmon. Opened up as we drank. Top notch Oregon Pinot. Slightly pricey now but more reasonable when I obtained. Will always pick up a few if found on sale. — 10 years ago
2008. Decanted for an hour and enjoyed first 1/2 with salumi and cheeses. Nice. Maybe an 8.8. Watched house of cards then drank the remaining in the carafe. Wow what a difference. 9+ — 10 years ago
A nice wine but I had greater expectations from To Kalon. Cranberry and earthy are good descriptions. Not much Tannins. Picked up at a charity auction. I think it had not been stored well at some point. — 10 years ago
2008. Nice and pleasing Chardonnay. Had with scallops and mushroom risotto. Picked up several Israel wines after a tasting. New to us. Surprisingly good and fairly valued. — 10 years ago
Typical brunello. Brought back after visit in 2008. Decanted for an hour. Smoothed out the the reasonable tannins at this age. Cherry leather and hint of tobacco. Good match with the seared filet and balsamic salad. — 10 years ago
2011. Nice and solid Chardonnay from Sonoma. Presented to us from Mr Coppla himself. His wines are always a go to for us when undecided or when we have a gathering with wide variety of wine jnterests. Saving the signed reserve red for a special night. — 10 years ago
Great Bordeaux for the money. Just sat on this for over 10 years. Bought several red and white Ducla's on recommendation is the French intern at a local wine shop. Very fresh fruit aroma at open. Melon critus mineral and slight chalk. — 10 years ago
