Starts a bit on the apple pear side of the citrus spectrum. It hints at being a bold oak, full bodied vanilla butter ball but falls short. Finishes just a bit light; but for 13 bucks you can't beat it. Not a Rombauer, but not many can claim that butter ball god status. Get a few bottles and drink it when you don't want to go all out on a 50 buck chard. — 8 years ago
At $ 20 I like it.Initially starts with a fruitnotebut that gives way toa bit of 0ak and a velvety Choco Vanilla Finish.Very mild without a lot going on on the palate. It's a comfortable wine that is An affordable wine in a steak restaurant without spending a fortune. — 9 years ago
Oak, long finish but smooth. Will mature with age. — 8 years ago
Sleeper alert... at 15 bucks this is amazing. Get some. The nose screams oak, and almost a bbq type presence; and that is not a bad thing. At the start there is a smoky, almost leathery impression which rounds off to a strong blackberry fruit/spice that could get a bit crazy but is immediately mellowed out by this huge oak and smooth vanilla/choco extended finish. — 8 years ago
Bold, full bodied, dark purple color, strong tannins but not overbearing. Exceptionally smooth. — 8 years ago
Bit disappointed. Tannic which would be ok to hold together providing it had a strong finish which i thought this did not. starts with a tart fruit which never really materializes into a smooth bold transition on the end which i expected. Bad bottle? Maybe. — 9 years ago
Dark fruit, cassus, and maybe a hint of vanilla thrown in there. Finish is satisfying and lingers with an oak note. — 9 years ago
