Quite a bit of tanin, but you don't have to chew. High alcohol as well (15%). Nose is nail polish remover with some forest fruits underneath. Pleasant enough after opening up, with fig and plum and soft Christmas baking spice.

Much more enjoyable than the 2016. Deep ruby color. Black pepper, tar and late-season lilac on the nose. Medium-body but layered flavor with granite, vanilla, crushed red pepper and old boot leather...kind of a salty finish. I don’t remember how much I paid for this, but whatever it was, I would have paid more. Fantastic! — 5 years ago
Light, delicate bubbles and a little bit of sweetness. Gentle slate and rocky minerality. Some grapefruit rinds on the finish. For Prosecco and at this price, not shabby. — 5 years ago
Fruity, a little bitter tea-leaves. Not compelling, but not bad. — 5 years ago
This was a free wedding gift to my father-in-law and his new bride from their Lufthansa flight attendants on their flight to visit us. As such, I had extremely low expectations. But you know what? Actually not bad! Nose is a little antiseptic and taste is a little sweet, but for airplane booze, this is just fine. — 5 years ago
This starts so promisingly, but then devolves into nothing. A little spice, a little peachy, a little tannin. Definitely not bad, more more of a table wine. — 5 years ago
This bright and refreshing bubbly from Slovenia is a bit hit! Pink grapefruit and lemon zest! Happy New Year!! — 5 years ago
Makes the mouth pucker! Strong tanin but not in an offputting way. Compelling with lots of fruit. — 5 years ago

Unique. Buttery and smooth. No sugars added. My wife gives it a 99, but this is my account and it’s not my fave. — 5 years ago
