One of the best Austrian white wine I've tasted in years. Surprisingly rich for a Riesling, well-balanced in acidity and sweetness. Can be drunk now or hold. This wine was listed by James Suckling as #9 in the top 100 wines in 2016. Among the top 10 wines in this list, this is the only white wine. Ryan Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2008
At first smelled as if it's getting old or entering closing stage, but opened after 1 hour and tasted of strawberry jam, spicy herbs, liquorice, and a hint of raspberry. There's also velvet chocolate in the nose. The color is darker and more cloudy than usual pinot noir, probably because it's unfined and unfiltered. Once you get used to the fruitiness, it's as complex as a great burgundy. — 8 years ago
