@Delectable Wine : This is the Little Wine #9, but I didn’t see it in the database.
94 now, 96+ in a few years. I honestly try to keep my hands off the LW as long as I can, but they are sinfully good young, so I struggle to keep them unopened. This was a fun bottle to open for the Super Bowl. Followed out of the bottle over the course of 2-3hrs.
The bulk of this wine is from the 2019 and 2018 vintage, with splashes of 2017, 2016 and 2015. Whereas the single vintage HD is more brawn (and sometimes savory), this is an aromatic high toned candle…fills the room! Scents of sweet licorice, potpourri, baked dark fruits, vanilla, jam. Seems a touch carbonic-like, but the palate is an absolute powerhouse. Kiss of mint but mostly fresh squeezed blackberries, blueberries, espresso, cocoa, and a charcoal/pepper bite at the very lengthy finish. Grippy and tannic, but the aromatics and zippy mid-palate make this a lot of fun to open today. If you can give it some air, pop and go.
I’ve yet to find a wine that makes me want a candle as much as these wines do! — 3 years ago
Very dense ruby. Aromas of ripe black plum with a note of prune. Silky palate showing its old vine origins / supple slippery tannins. This wine is instantly loveable by all who taste it and ridiculous value at only $38 back when I bought it. To pay that amount for what is essentially a hand made wine of small production from ancient Shiraz vines is a wonderful thing and explains why Fraser sells out every year in a few weeks. This is my oldest Little Wine (#4) which combines vintages 2012, 2013 and 2014 - all good vintages. Just bought Fraser’s latest offering from the 2018 vintage today - includes Little Wine #9 — 6 years ago

Wine Advent(ure) #9. Dry and tannic. Stone fruits and a slight earthiness. — 5 years ago
One of the best Austrian white wine I've tasted in years. Surprisingly rich for a Riesling, well-balanced in acidity and sweetness. Can be drunk now or hold. This wine was listed by James Suckling as #9 in the top 100 wines in 2016. Among the top 10 wines in this list, this is the only white wine. Looking forward to taste it again in some years. — 7 years ago

I’m told this is last years #9 by Wine Spectator. They have it right, it’s toward the top of the list. Today I’m calling it my #1 of the day, week, this yeas Thanksgiving Day wine — 7 months ago
