This wine clearly establishes the ability of good US chardonnay, to age. Bright mineral notes and clean citrus on the palate. Stainless steel fermented, but not in the least hard edged. Crosp, bright, and really good. — 9 years ago

2004 vintage from Wine Access. Last of my original 6 bottles. Ten years of bottle age made this beautiful. The fruit is still holding up well and the full structure is decidedly intact. — 10 years ago

2007 Treat. Definitely proves what the Bordelaise have known all along: 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc, 13% Malbec, and 9% Petit Verdot. This little gem has rich cassis, and floral notes. Long, lusty finish. Will still be great in another five years, I'll bet. — 10 years ago

More balanced that you might expect. Just the right combination of pineapple and creepiness. Almost a little too big as an aperitif, but it stands up well with some of the cheeses and smoked fish we're enjoying tonight; probably keep it right through dinner. 2009, so you can see it ages repectably for a California chardonnay, too. — 10 years ago
