Not your typical fruit forward Napa cab experience. The fruit is not prevalent but Either was is the taste of alcohol... The heats gone the fruit is subdued the experience sublime interesting elegant.. Not sure I favor aged California wine over the fresh fruity profile of the younger wines. I can almost say the opposite with Bordeaux. I think I'll concentrate my future efforts and time with mature Bordeaux wines and take my California ones earlier ... Still trying to figure this out — 10 years ago
Starting to show signs of maturation. Deep red brick color and had that plummy smooth funk to it that I like in a mature wine. Leather tobacco and long light cherry finish- I won't wait too much longer for my last bottle, I say this wine is at its prime. — 9 years ago
2012 Carnival of Love is a big fun Carnival ride...its fruity and hot...but still very smooth...I am afraid to give my wife any. She is just coming around from the fruit train. This will set us back and I look forward to the next bottle in 5-6 years to see if the heat dissipates...fun solid Aussie fruit ass kicking in your face nectar... — 10 years ago
Classic Pinot Noir for me, plummy, pleather....crispy and tart. I like -em this way or the few special hallowed burgundies I can't afford let alone access.. Much fuller other spectrum....the ones in the middle confuse me. This one is solid light then their is the Mcoy. — 9 years ago
Really smooth easy to drink funky sort of tartiness about that just says more ....a really nice drinking wine...the value is amazing! — 10 years ago
This wine like my most of my experience with understanding /tasting aged wine in my collection has been inconsistent. I am struggling to understand the taste profile what to expect how to enjoy and value wines with age... I'm not giving up I'm early in the process and have lots of time and candidates to develop my conclusions. In the meantime I'm really having fun... — 10 years ago

To me this wine drinks like a fine CDP or more aristocratic Rhone Valley selection with more fruit up front.
On the backside the "Jami-ness " gives way to a more balanced old world style.
I think is is very special and wish I had a full rack. Grateful to have a few anyway — 9 years ago
