Much lighter than other Rarecat Chardonnays I have had. I can taste lemons and pears, but not a whole lot more. I usually love all Rarecat wines, but this one leaves me with an overall impression of “Meh.” Perhaps this is an aberration. I will be sure to try another bottle soon. — 2 months ago
A delicious wine for a cold Winter’s evening. Decanted for about four hours. Fabulous bouquet. Full-bodied. Blackberries and dark chocolate predominate. — 3 months ago
Silky smooth tannins. Dark cherries, plum, cedar, and smoke. Full-bodied. Delicious! — 3 days ago
Pretty tannic. Sour cherries, raspberries, and a bit of pepper and smoke. Okay, but not my favorite. If you have some in your cellar, drink it now. — 2 months ago
I agree with Shay’s review. Lemon curds, baked peaches, honeysuckle, butter, caramel, and fresh grass. Sweet and powerful, more so, I think, than most Auberts. I am still partial to Aubert’s Lauren and UV-SL, but this is delicious. — 2 months ago
Delicious! Floral and citrus extravaganza. Lemon, lime, caramel, butter, honey, vanilla, and ginger. Elegant finish. Fabulous right now, but will probably keep for a while. — a month ago
Very fruit forward. Blackberries, blueberries, and vanilla. If you have this in your cellar, I would not hold it for much longer. — 2 months ago
Fabulous bouquet, earthy, tar, leather, plums, cherries, mushrooms, satisfying finish - everything you would expect from a fine Barolo. — 2 months ago
I love Dakota Shy wines, and this is an excellent one. Decanted for several hours. Inky dark purple. Full-bodied, rich, and complex. Dark chocolate, plums, cassis, and a hint of vanilla. Long finish. Fabulous now, but still has a lot of cellaring potential. — 3 months ago
