Dusty, jammy black (berry? Black Cherry and plum says the label) fruit bouquet, quite chewy tannins and someone says cigar box which I guess I can agree with. Not in a bad way. Feels like 2 notes: black fruit, and a dark deep not quite smoky but mature old smoke kinda quality.. — 10 years ago
Herbaceous, slightly floral and underripe red berry bouquet. It has the distinctive green bell peppery taste of a younger cab sauv BUT! it has none of the makes-your-nose-wrinkle sensation that usually follows said taste. Instead there's an incredibly complex richness after the green bell peppery attack, reminiscent of more red fruits than black and hinting of a sweet mellowness that will probably be emphasized after it ages more. Low to mid tannins that kinda creep up on you in a nice way with a clean feeling finish lasting a good enjoyable while. Look forward to drinking this later in its prime !! — 10 years ago
Sweet attack, really it's like the sweetness you get when drinking POM pomegranate juice and the label does describe pomegranates... It also reminds me of overripe plums. All that plus a very evident smoky undertone and a full bodied, full mouth feel (label says structured) tannic chewy alcoholic finish — 10 years ago
Red fruit jammy bouquet feels like medium body low, very balanced tannins, tastes mature and super smooth

It's been sitting in the decanter for a day already...first smell is herby on the nose? Its got that distinctive green bell peppery smell, but not so strong that it's offensive, just that it is really forward and I really have to search for that fruity bouquet to find one. Attack is on the sharp side with medium strong tannins bouncing all over your mouth, no real fruit and NO jam atall, just some enjoyable chewiness and herby green pepperyness. Feels like medium body and heavy on the tannins, but not in a bad way. Finish is allllll tannins. This is 2011 year, I feel like in a couple years it'll mellow out to be a real nice table wine?
Summary = tannins, tannins, tannins still chewin' on 'em. Fun tho! — 10 years ago
