Pale yellow with a silver secondary color. Moderate, youthful nose of stone fruits, petrol, and white flowers. Palate is off dry with high acidity, medium body, and an extremely oily mouthfeel. The fruit combined with the oil and risidual sugar is reminiscent of having peach sorbet. Great QPR ($17.99). — 6 years ago
Surprising amount of aged character for a 2014. Pretty disappointed to be honest. The wine is almost orange in the glass. Nose is very forward with buttered popcorn and vegetable oil laced with hazelnut. Palate is flabby though. Has a smooth and oily mouthfeel with medium acid. Not what I expected. — 6 years ago
Very nice expression of chenin. Kiwi, star fruit, and banana peel dominate followed by sugar snap peas and horse radish. Great acidity and mouthfeel. Develops a lot in the glass. — 6 years ago
Not a bad bottle for the price. Nose is very underripe (green bell pepper, cranberries) with hints of leather and potting soil. Palate a bit high in acidity, medium plus tannins, fairly short finish. Good wine for a weeknight glass. — 6 years ago
This one is a banger! Never had a crianza that had this much going on. Nose is densely packed. Vanilla and tobacco take the lead alongside sour cherries and cranberries. Dark fruit also emerge as the glass opens most notably blackberry. Licorice, toasted oak, caramel, the list goes on and on! Very well balanced on the palate, medium plus acidity, medium plus tannin, full bodied. The finish lingers quite a while and has a very apparent prune note. Loved this, can’t WAIT to try the Tondonia Reserva — 6 years ago

Nose was heaven: tar, leather and mushroom laced with red currant, cranberry, and raspberry. Seemed to fade quickly after opening, but was still very enjoyable. — 6 years ago
